Community Involvement
Helzberg Diamonds is Active in the Community and Supports Charitable Organizations
Helzberg Diamonds has long been involved with charities, and many community
activities - The United Way, Jewelers for Children, local theater and the arts
in our store communities across the country. And, throughout the company's
history, we have taken a leadership role with many initiatives and organizations
that have served to strengthen and maintain integrity of our industry.
Helzberg Diamonds associates have also organized numerous "back to school
drives" to obtain school supplies for children and raise money for local
organizations for youth in need. Helzberg employees consistently participate in
blood drives, canned food drives, clothing drives and holiday gift drives.
Helzberg Diamonds associates also contribute generously to the United Way each
year, with associate participation levels averaging greater than 90 percent.
Proceeds from the sale of Helzberg Diamonds' "I Am Loved®" bears and donations
collected in specially designated canisters in our stores support Jewelers for
Children, an organization that has raised more than $23 million to fund special
programs that reach children whose lives have been devastated by catastrophic
illness or life-threatening abuse and neglect.
