Our Story

1970-1979

Helzberg Diamonds began an aggressive expansion plan during the 70's. The emphasis remained on treating customers and sales associates with respect, as was the company tradition outlined in the Helzberg Customer Bill of Rights. Helzberg Diamonds continued to respond to even the smallest customer wishes. The debut in the 70's of a new store design made the Helzberg Diamonds stores more inviting to customers who might otherwise be intimidated by a diamond jewelry store.

THE HELZBERG CUSTOMER BILL OF RIGHTS

The right to expect polite service
The right to expect Helzberg personnel to be knowledgeable about their merchandise
The right to exceptional value
The right to a full refund within 90 days

Changes in merchandising and store design during the 70's were important to the maturity of Helzberg Diamonds as a national retailer, operating 42 stores in 16 states.
