Staying Brilliant Requires A Little Love & Care.
Diamonds are like your relationship — strong and made to last, but worthy of
great care. Follow a few simple steps to keep your diamond shining its
brightest.
- Don't store diamonds with your other fine jewelry; they could
scratch softer gems. Diamonds are best kept in soft pouches inside your
regular jewelry box.
- Don't wear your diamond ring a to do any activity (woodworking,
heavy gardening, etc) that could damage the setting, and put you at risk
for losing your diamond.
- Don't remove your ring and put it just anywhere. Nestle it in the
same place — a box, a pretty dish — so you know where it is and don't
accidentally wipe it off the counter with the bread crumbs, or put
something heavy on top of it.
- Don't forget to clean it! Once a week, mix one part ammonia to six parts
water, and gently scrub your diamond with a soft brush, taking care not to
scratch the metal. Every six months, bring your diamond to a Helzberg Diamonds
