Watch Guide
Where would you be without it?
Your watch helps you pick up the kids on time, keep an important date and catch the train. But it’s more than a time piece, it communicates your sense of style and allows you to accessorize all at the same time. You’ll look at it hundreds of times a day so find a watch that fits your personal style - or choose two if you can’t decide! When purchasing a watch, whether it’s for yourself or someone else, make sure it’s both good-looking and well-made. Here, we’ll help you sort through the choices.
How to choose a watch

The first thing to consider is when and where the watch will be worn. Pick the watch that best fits your lifestyle whether that’s one of our many chronographs or sport watches or something slim, simple and classic. Find that perfect watch that can take you from the workout room to the board room to the theatre... or collect different watches to fit every aspect of your lifestyle.
If you want your watch to make a fashion statement, try a cutting edge case shape, an unusual band, or a colorful face. Some people own several distinct watches to wear with different types of outfits, such as a Movado watch for elegant ensembles and a sporty blue Citizen® watch with chronograph to wear with jeans.
If you’re looking for a watch to wear on the weekends or out with your friends, we have a range of casual wrist watches that work well in a variety of situations. You might want to look for water resistant styles, so you don’t have to worry about your watch while hanging out at the pool, and definitely consider the comfort of the band and overall weight.
And finally, if you plan to wear your watch with a suit or evening wear, we recommend a luxurious dressy Citizen® watch or something simple and elegant, like a sleek timepiece from our Movado watch collection.
