Over the last 90 years, we’ve helped plenty of
grooms-to-be set the stage for their new lives. Here’s just a few ways to make
your engagement a moment that will sparkle forever.
Twelve Creative Ways To Pop The Question
- Put It In Writing. If you’re the type who gets nervous or tongue-tied,
there’s no law that says the words have to be spoken. You can create a letter or
card that asks for her hand in a serious, light-hearted or clever way.
- Write It In The Snow. (Or the sand, or the grass.) Imagine the look on her
face as she goes up the ski lift!
- An Unexpected Poem. Do you have a friend who’s good with rhymes? Ask him to
help you compose a poem just for her.
- Write A Song. Is there a woman on earth who wouldn’t want a song written just
for her? If you have musical ability, or have friends with a band, this is a
winning idea.
- Make her a Video. Just when she thinks she’s sitting down to a DVD and a bowl
of popcorn — surprise, surprise.
- Plant It In a Fortune Cookie. Just make sure she wants dessert.
- The Empty Box. Wrap an empty jewelry box and when she opens it, tell her she
can’t have the ring unless she says yes.
- The Old Switcheroo. Buy her a pair of diamond studs and give her that box to
open first. Then tell her you bought something else to match.
- Grow Old Together. Arrange to ask her in the community room of a Senior
Citizens Center, and explain that you want to grow old with her. The seniors
will love having you there — and will provide plenty of advice for a happy life.
- Recreate The First Date. Go to the same place — even wear the same clothes!
And tell her that you always knew, even at the beginning.
- Tell her What You’ve Won. Slip a lottery ticket in an envelope. When she
opens it, tell her that you won the lottery the day you met her.
- The Observatory: Plan a date to look at the stars in the night sky. Tell her
there’s only one thing brighter — your future together.
