Official Rules of Helzberg Diamonds "Share Your Proposal and Win" Contest

1. No purchase necessary and will not improve your chance of winning
2. To enter, you must be 18 years old or older and a legal resident of the United States, and you must not be an employee, officer or director of Helzberg Diamonds or an immediate family member living in the same household of any such person.
3. To enter, complete the online entry form and submit it to Helzberg Diamonds via online transmission by the entry deadline of 11:59 p.m. on December 31, 2008. Required information includes your name, address, phone number and e-mail address, as well as a short description (325 words or less) of how, where and when you proposed marriage or were proposed to. Submissions containing more than 325 words will automatically be disqualified. Helzberg Diamonds reserves the right to disqualify submissions it deems obscene, potentially offensive or otherwise inappropriate or noncompliant with these rules. Limit one entry per e-mail address.
4. All late, lost, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, illegible, undelivered or destroyed entries are invalid entries, regardless of the cause, including, but not limited to, any problem or technical malfunction of any computer, network or server or any technical problem or traffic / congestion with respect to the Internet or the Helzberg Diamonds website.
5. At the end of each calendar month during the contest period from April 2008 through December 2008, Helzberg Diamonds will select one proposal, in its sole discretion, as the winning proposal from all entries received during the month on a nationwide basis. Each valid entry qualifies only for the drawing held for the month of the contest period in which the entry is received and will not be carried over to subsequent drawings. All decisions are final and not subject to appeal. Helzberg Diamonds will notify winners by telephone or email.
6. The prize is a $100 Helzberg Diamonds Gift Certificate redeemable at any Helzberg Diamonds store other than its online store and must be used within one year from the date of issuance. The Gift Certificate is not transferable or redeemable for cash or substitution and merchandise selected by the winner cannot be subsequently refunded or exchanged. The winner is responsible for any and all federal, state and local taxes, fees and other government assessments on the awarded prize.
7. All entries become the property of Helzberg Diamonds and will not be returned. Helzberg Diamonds reserves the right to use each entrant's proposal entry/concept and to use each winner's name, picture and/or proposal entry/concept for marketing and advertising purposes without any consideration or compensation other than the opportunity to participate in this contest, without notice other than this notice, and without obtaining any further permission or consent. By entering this contest, the entrant consents to such use by Helzberg Diamonds upon the terms and conditions described in this paragraph.
8. By participating, each entrant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Helzberg Diamonds and further agrees to release and hold harmless Helzberg Diamonds and its affiliates from any and all losses, damages, claims and actions of any kind arising from this promotion (including, without limitation, claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy) or from the acceptance, possession or use of any awarded prize.
9. Void outside of the United States and where prohibited by law.
10. The sponsor of this contest is Helzberg Diamond Shops, Inc., 1825 Swift Avenue, North Kansas City, Missouri 64116. Each winner's name will be published on the Helzberg Diamonds website. Inquiries for the winner's name will be answered in this manner only.
