Morganite's blush feminine color is a result of the presence of manganese in the gemstone beryl, which is typically rich green or light blue in color. Originally discovered in Madagascar in the early 20th century, it was given the name Morganite in honor of financier and gem enthusiast J.P. Morgan. Morganites will range in color from a faded peach to vivid blush pink.
