My wife has very small fingers. I wanted to get either one of these rings as a gift since Emerald is her birthstone, but the smallest size available is 5.5 and I'm concerned that won't fit her. Her fingers are very small (around size 3 on her left hand, slightly bigger on her right) but I'm unsure if resizing either of these rings would be difficult due to the gemstones on the band and the band's unusual shape.

Answers

Answer:
You wouldn't want to resize a 5.5 down to a 3.5. It could potentially damage the structure of the ring. I don't think this particular ring comes in a size close to what you need, but if you call us at 1-800-HELZBERG, or visit your local store, I'm sure we can find something comparable that we can get in that size.

Answers

Answer:
The largest size that it is available is a size 9 and the smallest size would be a 5. If you were to size beyond these recommended sizes, it would cause the ring to lose its integrity. You may also experience stone loss issues. Still have further questions? Contact one of our Jewelry Experts at 1-800-435-9237 or email EngageAnExpert@helzberg.com.

Sterling Silver can tarnish over time and with a lot of wear. Using a polishing cloth to clean your Sterling Silver pieces will help with this.

Answer:
Sterling Silver can be soldered together, however we would not recommend soldering a Sterling Silver piece to a gold piece as the maintenance and up keep differs and the two metals will wear differently.

All jewelry has been enlarged to show beauty of detail. Gemstones may have been treated or enhanced by heating or irradiation. Emeralds and opals may be filled with colorless synthetic resins or oils. Gemstones require special care in jewelry repair or cleaning.

Emerald

As the birthstone for May, the emerald, a symbol of rebirth, is believed to grant the owner foresight, good fortune, and youth. Emerald, derived from the word smaragdus, meaning green in Greek, was mined in Egypt as early as 330 B.C. Today, most of the world's emeralds are mined in Colombia, Brazil, Afghanistan, and Zambia. The availability of high-quality emerald is limited; consequently, treatments to improve clarity are performed regularly.
