Inverness understands that ear piercing is about more than the earrings — it can be a bonding experience, a rite of passage or a way of expressing yourself. They created their system to be easy, safe and gentle by using:
1. Sealed, pre-sterilized earrings. Inverness features fully-encapsulated piercing earrings that prevent our earrings and exclusive Inverness Safety Back™ from being exposed to potential contaminants prior to piercing. These pre-sterilized earring cartridges are sealed until selected for piercing. Unlike other systems on the market, Inverness piercing earrings are not exposed until they are safely inserted in the ear.
2. An exclusive earring back. The Inverness Safety Back™ promotes safer healing by shielding the sharp piercing tip of the earring post and preventing the earring back from being squeezed too tight. This provides proper airflow and prevents the earring back from becoming embedded during the healing process.
Unlike loud piercing guns that “shoot” a spring-loaded earring through the tissue, the Inverness instrument is hand-pressured and pierces the ear quickly and accurately in one smooth, quiet motion.

The average healing time for a new earlobe piercing is 6 weeks. To ensure fast and safe healing, always wash your hands prior to handling your piercing stud or touching the pierced area. Follow the aftercare instructions provided at the time of your piercing, and use the Helzberg Aftercare Cleansing Solution to properly care for your newly pierced ears.
The minimum age for ear piercing at Helzberg is 6 years old.
Please note: Minor children (ages 6-17) must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for their piercing. The parent/guardian will sign the ear piercing permission form (release authorization form) on behalf of their minor child.
