Best diamond purchasing experience ever! Raul was so helpful and informative about the difference between natural and lab grown diamonds, and helped me decide the best setting for the diamond I wanted. I suggest anybody looking for engagement rings to come here and talk to Raul.

Mary is the reason this worked at all and why I actually love my rings!!! Mary at Helzberg Diamonds has worked with my family for decades, helping my dad pick out gifts and, yes, multiple wedding rings for my mom. Despite that, I was stubborn as hell and convinced I needed to go elsewhere for anything non-traditional. Spoiler alert. I was wrong! In December 2025, I came in with my parents to help pick out my mom’s birthday gift and half jokingly asked Mary if Helzberg did custom rings. I showed her what I liked fully expecting the answer to be no, because I assumed edgy, sharp, non-traditional designs required a smaller specialty jeweler. I also didn’t think Helzberg could source something like a salt and pepper diamond. Turns out, they absolutely can. Along with some truly wild shapes 🍆😂💎 For context, I am an odd cookie. Artsy, stubborn, particular, and not remotely traditional. I’ve never liked classic diamonds and had my heart set on a salt and pepper stone. Mary listened, didn’t push, and walked me through unconventional options like hex and kite shapes while actually respecting my taste. She also talked me out of a salt and pepper diamond and she was completely right! She explained the structural risks of heavily included stones, especially since I’m basically a bull in a china shop. That honesty saved me from an expensive mistake! We went with lab grown diamonds because they’re ethically sourced, grown under controlled conditions, often less flawed, and honestly just make more sense. Cheaper and better? Yes, please! 💸💎 The final design is a split engagement ring with an elongated hex center stone flanked by opposite facing pear diamonds. The center stone is 2.16 carats, and the entire set including the engagement ring and both bands comes in at 3¾ carats total, all in 14k white gold. It’s sharp, architectural, and exactly what I wanted! Despite a busy December and a slight delay, the rings were ready just in time for our SUPER ORIGINAL Valentine’s Day 8 year anniversary. We’re not even engaged yet and already bought rings. But that’s very on brand for us! Mary was patient, honest, and incredibly knowledgeable throughout the entire process, including dealing with my post Reddit ring anxiety. She also helped my boyfriend find his artsy, edgy ring and absolutely nailed it! Bonus points for Helzberg offering Zillion insurance, because as a Murphy’s Law victim, I need that peace of mind! If you’re non traditional, anxious, picky, or just want someone who won’t let you make an expensive mistake, ask for Mary. She’s the real deal!
