Promise rings for her

Diamond promise rings for her

A diamond promise ring represents a personal commitment, whether that means love, devotion or a promise you define together. It may signal a future engagement — but it doesn’t have to. Whether you're celebrating a milestone or making a heartfelt commitment, a diamond promise ring is a beautiful way to mark the moment.

Choose from a stunning selection of diamond promise rings for her featuring sterling silver and white gold settings, along with natural and lab grown diamonds offered in everything from heart shapes to princess cuts. Styles range from understated diamond rings to halos, twist bands, double hearts and diamond-accented Claddagh rings. The best women’s promise ring reflects both her style and the meaning behind your promise.

How to choose a promise ring

Ready to start your search for a promise ring for your girlfriend? Here’s how to select the perfect piece of jewelry:

• Determine the meaning or commitment the ring will represent, whether it’s a promise of marriage down the road or simply a symbol of the time you’ve shared together.

• Select a gemstone. Depending on your budget, you can choose from natural or lab grown diamond promise rings. Look for diamond shapes ranging from a classic round center stone to a small heart-shaped diamond. Or, select a metal ring featuring subtle diamond accents.
• Choose your metal. Sterling silver may be a better choice based on your price point; just keep in mind it can tarnish over time. While it costs more, white gold is the better choice for a ring worn frequently.
• Pare down your design preferences. Do you want a classic promise ring that has the look of an engagement band? Or would she prefer a heart-shaped design, a sparkling halo or a band with a graceful twist?
• Make lifestyle accommodations. Before you purchase a ring, make sure you know her ring size, and then ultimately select a promise ring for her that she’ll feel comfortable wearing as part of her daily routine.

Giving and wearing a promise ring

There’s no required occasion for giving a promise ring. You might give one as a gift to celebrate a relationship milestone, their birthday or shared holiday, or simply to honor a personal commitment. What matters most is that you both understand what the ring represents. There’s no fixed rule for wearing it, either: The ring finger on either hand is an option. Some people choose to wear a promise ring on their left ring finger, then move it to their right hand if they become engaged.
